Food amazing! Bar staff were outstanding...very efficient and kind!

Reception staff on arrival was not very nice at all....I was unaware to have licence or passport on me for ID I will In future, had no interest in guests and not very helpful.... However lovely fello on reception that Pm couldn't do enough was really helping excellent communication skills as again different girl in the morning at check out was sooooo nice , very helpful and very kind .

Quiet area, good food,nice staff in reception, free good parking

Bad smell in room like musty or fungus, clogged shower head water could not flow

The staff were so friendly and efficient. The food was excellent and it was good value.

Some parts of the hotel could do with a bit of updating and there were no sockets beside the bed. Also my door didn’t lock but there was a security chain on it.

Prices, convenience for my early morning appointment, I missed breakfast but my wife asked for a v late serving of Scrambled Eggs Bacon Tea & Toast on my return at 11.35am, whch was very much appreciated & of very good quality & standard, it was a very nice gesture, evening meal v good, abundant free parking, friendly & v helpful staff throughout....v good efficient unobtrusive housekeeping personnel.

Our Breakfast on morning of departure was v poor, WHAT is the situation with the "Fruit Juices"??... Orange Cordial??... I didn't try the "Apple Juice"?? as it looked awful...many pots of tea, all just tepid & too strong, v haphazard breakfast service overall, we had to ask for Milk, likewise the table next to us, no teaspoons with cups, had to ask a 2nd time for our initial order of Toast, my wife & I had Omelettes, NOT good at all.. REALLY NOT good, no glasses in bathroom or clothes hangers, Very shoddy Shower controls, no basic guides as to its operating functions, loose Rain shower head, hand held auxiliary shower head literally useless as regards water spray. Although in fairness it did state late functions do take place, but the pounding Bass reverberating through the hotel till 1am would mean we not returning for a future stay at weekends, this is the only review I give on any of my travels, I do NOT partake in any Hotel/Hospitality website reviews.. overall a v good value Honest Hotel with some basic errors that could be v easily rectified... Thank You.

All the staff were so pleasant and especially Caroline, I think that was her name she was on reception Mon 18th she went out of her way to help us in whatever way she could ..Wonderful person.

There wasn’t a lift and my cousin had difficulty with the stairs leading down to the bar area where we went for something to eat

There must be more breakfast options.. Entrance to room was narrow for wheelchair. Shower head was broken. And fly with the water pressure.

The room was good, breakfast was good.

Far from town but the bus is near the hotel. Actually, I drove to town and paid 7 pound for all day parking in downtown. The beds were soft. Far from walking to restaurant but you can eat at the hotel.

Breakfast nice I was not notified that there will be no pudding, breakfast staff could be nicer. Lovely bar, easy access. Staff in bar lovely, we got nice drinks. On the first stay we could not have breakfast and we got sandwich takeaway.

At the reception one girl was not friendly, second one was very nice. Everything what we ask was no. We tried book a room for another day she said there are no rooms available. When we went to the room we booked room online on that day. On the second stay breakfast staff could be nicer. I was not notified that i am not gone get full breakfast.

Nothing really - overall a nice stay over. If anything, it would have been good to offer later dining options as I checked in late that evening.

We stayed in Executive Suite with bath. Room was lovely and clean spacious the bath in the room was an added bonus . The breakfast was beautiful will definately stay again. We ate in the bar that evening and the food there was beautiful also . Thank you

Initially liked idea that ground floor rooms were separated from the entrance by locked door. However too many people not respectful of others staying by letting the door bang closed at all times of night.

The staff at Balmoral are amazing., so very friendly and super helpful. The hotel is very clean. The breakfast is very good.

Some parts of the hotel, such as bathrooms or hallways need renovating. Rooms with connecting doors have very thin walls. Thankfully, the lovely receptiomist Fiona was able to move us to a different room where we had a great, undisturbed sleep :-)
